Miopia is these rays which runs parallel with an axis without accommodation resident the retina of eye shadow. This research aims to know the factors that affect determinan degress miopia in MAN Pringsewu. This research using qualitative method. This research using a technique purposive sampling. The population of the research students of class XI IPA and IPS in MAN Pringsewu wearing glasses on the year 2021 as much as 25 students with 15 respondents. Instruments to a data is with questions in the form of verbal. A technique used is interview. Based on the results, factors that most affect the degree of myopia on the respondents is genetic factors of father and mother, female gender, age > 14 years, the duration of video games > 2 hours, the behavior of reading the supine position or face-down, the distance of computer < 60 cm, the distance of gadget < 30 cm and the duration of the gadget > 2 hours. Determinant factor is more dominant on the degree of myopia is factors playing a video game, factor of the distance and duration of view computer and gadget because the present age is the era of technology where all activities facilitated by technology such as search tasks are mostly using the internet, the communication with friends using social media and a wide variety of interesting games.

Miopia adalah sinar-sinar yang berjalan sejajar dengan sumbu mata tanpa akomodasi dibias didepan retina. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor determinan yang mempengaruhi derajat miopia di MAN Pringsewu. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif.Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Populasi penelitian siswakelas XI IPA dan IPS di MAN Pringsewu yang memakai kacamata pada tahun 2021 sebanyak 25 siswa dengan 15 responden. Instrumen untuk pengambilan data adalah dengan pertanyaan dalam bentuk lisan. Teknik yang digunakan adalah wawancara. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan faktor penyebab yang paling banyak mempengaruhi derajat miopia pada responden antara lain faktor genetik ayah dan ibu, jenis kelamin perempuan, umur > 14 tahun, durasi video game > 2 jam, perilaku membaca posisi terlentang atau telungkup, komputer jarak < 60 cm, jarak gadget< 30 cm, dan durasi gadget> 2 jam.Faktor determinan yang lebih dominan pada derajat miopiaialah faktor bermain video game, faktor jarak dan durasi melihat komputer dan gadget kemungkinan disebabkan karena zaman sekarang merupakan era teknologi dimana semua aktivitas dimudahkan dengan teknologi seperti pencarian tugas sebagian besar menggunakan internet, berkomunikasi dengan teman menggunakan sosial media dan berbagai macam game yang menarik.
