Covid-19 pademic caused major disruptions in daily activities for children throughout the world as schools and
extracurricular activities shut down. Some reports indicated an increace in myopia among children due to the
increase near work activities and decrease of outdoor activities during the pandemic. This literature research
was aimed at evaluating the evidences of associations between near work activities and myopia, as well as
between outdoor activities and myopia. Based on the evaluation, the researcher suggested several steps to
reduce the negative impact of near work activities and to maximise protective role of outdoor activies in order
to decrease prevalence and progression of myopia among school-children.
