Myopia is an eye condition that has excessive refractive power so that parallel rays that come are refracted in front of the retina (yellow spots) This myopia can occur at the age of children to adulthood. (heredity) and patient growth factors. (llyas Sidarta 2017 ) The purpose of this research is to describe the description of age, gender and reading distance and length of reading on the incidence of myopia in 3 SANGGAU Vocational School in 2022. The research method is descriptive looking at the frequency distribution of the proportion of myopia myopia, The results of the myopia study, Distribution according to age above 17 years on the incidence of myopia as many as 27 respondents (62.8%) in students at 3 Sanggau Vocational High School in 2022. Gender distribution is greater for women 25 respondents (58.1%) in students in 3 Sanggau Vocational High School in 2022, Frequency distribution of reading distance < 30 cm as many as 28 respondents (65.1%) on the incidence of myopia in students at 3 Sanggau Vocational School in 2022. The distribution of the frequency of reading more than 4 hours as many as 23 respondents (53.5%) on the incidence of myopia in students at 3 Sanggau Vocational School in 2022. Conclusions and suggestions for 3 Sanggau Vocational High School students need to get education about eye health. And pay attention to the reading distance and reading time according to the standard so that the eyes do not accommodate which can cause myopia.
Miopia adalah suatu keadaan mata yang mempunyai kekuatan pembiasan sinar yang berlebihan sehingga sinar-sinar sejajar yang datang dibiaskan di depan retina (bintik kuning) Miopia ini dapat terjadi pada usia anak-anak sampai usia dewasa, faktor penyebab terjadi miopia adalah hubungan erat dengan faktor Herediter (keturunan) dan faktor pertumbuhan penderita. (Ilyas Sidarta 2017 ) Tujuan penelitian gambaran usia,
jenis kelamin dan jarak membaca dan lama membaca terhadap kejadian miopia di SM Negeri 3 SANGGAU tahun 2022. Metode penelitian Deskritip melihat distribusi frekuensi jumlah proposi miopia Hasil penelitian miopia Distribusi menurut usia diatas 17 tahun terhadap kejadian miopia sebanyak 27 responden (62.8%) pada siswa di SMA Negeri Sanggau tahun 2022. Distribusi Jenis kelamin prempuan lebih besar 25 responden (58.1%) pada siswa di SMA Negeri 3 Sanggau tahun 2022.Distribusi frekuensi jarak membaca < 30 cm sebanyak 28 responden (65.1%) terhadap kejadian miopia pada siswa di SMA Negeri 3 Sanggau tahun 2022. Distribusi frekuensi lama membaca lebih dari 4 jam sebanyak 23 responden (53.5%) terhadap kejadian miopia pada siswa di SMA Negeri 3 Sanggau tahun 2022. Kesimpulan dan saran pelajar SMA Negeri 3 Sanggau perlu mendapatkan edukasi tentang kesehatan mata. Dan memperhatikan jarak menbaca dan lama membaca sesuai standar sehingga tidak terjadi mata berakomodasi yang dapat menyebabkan miopia.
