Presbyopia is a decrease in the power of accommodation. People with presbyopia will notice changes in their near vision for the first time in their early or mid forties. Presbyopia treatment is done by giving a convex lens (plus). If people with presbyopia also want to wear glasses for their farsightedness, or have ametropic refractive status, then the patient can use bifocal lenses with a choice of designs, one of which is the cryptox bifocal lens design. In this paper, the method used is descriptive from a book written by Grosvenor, Theodore P. OD., Ph.D. With the title Primary Care Optometry, A Clinical Manual, the need for adaptation for early cryptic bifocal lens wearers, for optimal vision.

ABSTRAK
Presbyopia dinimerupakan penurunan daya akomodasi. Penderita presbyopia akan menemukan perubahan kemampuan penglihatan dekatnya pertama kali pada awal atau pertengahan usia empat puluhan. Penanganan presbyopia dilakukan dengan cara memberikan lensa cembung (plus). Jika penderita presbyopia juga ingin memakai kacamata untuk penglihatan jauhnya, atau mempunyai status refraksi ametropia, maka penderita dapat menggunakan lensa bifokal dengan pilihan desain yang salah satunya adalah desain lensa bifokal kryptok. Dalam Karya Tulis ini metode yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif dari buku karangan Grosvenor, Theodore P. OD., Ph.D. Dengan judul Primary Care Optometry, A Clinical Manual perlunya adaptasi bagi pemakai lensa bifokal kryptokdini, agar penglihatan optimal.
